BMSC Activities 2015




Awareness class and Tree Plantation by Shinto Abraham 16-March-2015.

Bhoomithra sena organized an awareness class for saving nature and tree plantation on 16th March 2015 at Don Bosco college. Class was taken by Mr. Shinto Abraham, Secretary of “Save Nature for a Better Life Society”. He is travelling by bike all over India with the message of saving nature. He selected Don Bosco College to be the finishing point of one of his projects. He also provided some seedling for college.



Cleaning plastic materials in the Campus 5-Jun-2015.
Bhoomithra sena members cleaned plastic materials in the campus on 5-Jun-2015. Also they have placed dust bins in the common area of the college.





Tree plantation in Campus 06-Jun-2015.

Bhoomithra sena members planted 70 trees in the college campus on 06th June 2015. The seedlings were provided by Malayala Manorama and Forest department. The members will also be planting more trees along the Hill highway.







Trekking to Tadiandamol forest, Coorg, Karnataka (18-7-2015).


Bhoomithra sena 2013 batch members organized a trekking to Tadiandamol forest on 18-07-2015. 






Tree plantation and cleaning plastic materials in Hill highway (Vallithode-Anapanthi road)

 Bhoomithra sena members planted 50 trees by the side of the Vallithode – Anapanthi road and cleaned plastic materials also on October 2nd 2015,Gandhi Jayanthi day. This road is part of the Hill highway. The local police station at Karikottakari also joined with bhoomithra sena for tree plantation.  





Camp and Trekking to Brahmagiri National park, Thirunelli, Wayanad.

Bhoomithra sena club of Don Bosco College conducted a camp and trekking for the BMC members to Brahmagiri National Park, a forest area in Wayanad, on 30th, and 31st Oct 2015. Forest officer Mr. Suresh took a class for the members of BMSC. He explained the different type of animals, and trees found in the National park. He also arranged a dormitory over there for the member for staying. In the early morning of next day (31St Nov 2015) the team started trekking to the top of Brahmagiri hill (4358 ft) around 6 km one side, and climbed down in the evening.
